Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 20, 2026
Smart Calendar is a visual calendar and planning app. This policy explains what information the app stores and how it is used.
Information Stored On Your Device
Smart Calendar stores the following information locally on your device:
- Calendar events
- Event notes
- Day notes
- Reminder settings
- Repeat rules
- Event categories
- Daily priorities, habits, and focus sessions
- Work clients, projects, and time entries
- Wellness goals, manual step entries, and cached step totals
- Optional cycle-tracking days, flow, symptoms, mood, and private notes
- Theme and background preferences
- Premium pack unlock state
This information is used to provide the calendar, reminders, My Day, Work Hub, Wellness, theme selection, and Smart Planner features.
Account And Cloud Sync
Smart Calendar does not require an account.
Smart Calendar does not upload your calendar events, notes, work data, wellness data, or Smart Planner text to a developer server.
If you explicitly enable Partner Sharing, the app uses a Cloudflare-hosted synchronization service to connect two devices. The service stores X25519 public keys, one-way hashes of random session tokens, timestamps, a revision number, and an end-to-end encrypted partner update. Private keys and readable cycle details remain on the connected devices.
Smart Planner
Smart Planner turns short text prompts into event previews locally in the app. In the current version, this text is not sent to a cloud AI service.
Notifications
Smart Calendar may ask for notification permission so it can show local event reminders and optional private cycle check-ins. Notifications are scheduled on your device.
Private cycle reminders use neutral notification text that does not identify periods, symptoms, fertility, or other cycle details. You can disable these reminders in the cycle settings or revoke notification permission in Android settings.
The app may also request permission to restore scheduled reminders after your device restarts.
Health Connect And Wellness
The optional Wellness feature may ask for physical activity permission and read-only access to step count data from Health Connect. Smart Calendar does not write or modify Health Connect data and does not request background health-data access.
Recent daily step totals may be cached locally to show progress, weekly insights, goal consistency, movement trends, and best-day patterns. These patterns are calculated on the device. Manual step entries, daily goal, stride length, and weight used for local distance and calorie estimates are also stored on your device. Smart Calendar does not upload this wellness information to a developer server.
You can decline the permission and use manual step entries, revoke Health Connect access from system settings, or disconnect it inside the app. Wellness estimates are for general informational use and are not medical advice.
Cycle Tracking
The optional cycle-tracking feature stores recorded period days, flow, symptoms, mood, private notes, and cycle settings in the app's private storage on your device. Full cycle records are not uploaded to a developer server, shared with advertisers, or used for advertising.
Cycle, period, and optional fertile-window predictions are generated locally from recorded dates and settings. Predicted days are visually separated from recorded days. These estimates may be inaccurate, are not medical advice, and must not be used for contraception or medical decisions.
Optional cycle reminder preferences are stored locally. Reminders are scheduled by the device and use neutral wording. You can edit or delete individual day records at any time. The cycle settings screen also provides a control to permanently delete all cycle-tracking records and settings and cancel its scheduled reminders.
Optional Partner Sharing
Partner Sharing is off until you choose to create or enter a temporary pairing code. You control whether the shared update may include cycle phase and day, an estimated next period, an optional fertility estimate, mood, or symptoms. Private notes, weight, basal temperature, flow, energy level, and the full cycle history are not included.
Approved fields are encrypted on the sending device using keys derived through X25519 and HKDF, then protected with AES-256-GCM. The synchronization service receives only the encrypted payload and cannot read the approved fields. The pairing code is valid for 15 minutes, is used only to establish the connection, and cannot be used after another device has joined.
Either connected device can revoke the pairing. Revocation deletes the server-side pairing state and encrypted payload. Inactive pairings are automatically deleted after 180 days. Cloudflare processes the encrypted service data to provide hosting, security, and delivery for this optional feature.
User-Initiated Backup And Export
Backup Center can create a password-protected, encrypted backup of your local app data. Cycle-tracking data is excluded by default and is included only if you explicitly enable that option. The backup password is not stored by Smart Calendar and cannot be recovered by the developer.
Backup, calendar, and work-report files leave the app only when you choose a share or storage destination. Smart Calendar does not automatically upload these files and the developer does not receive them. Files saved outside the app are handled by the destination you select and may be subject to that provider's privacy and security terms.
Security And Retention
Local planning, work, wellness, and cycle data is kept inside the app's private device storage, which is protected by the operating system's app sandbox. Keep your device lock and operating system security updates enabled.
Partner Sharing private keys and session credentials are stored using operating-system protected secure storage. The synchronization service stores token hashes rather than the original tokens and cannot decrypt partner updates.
Local data is retained until you delete it inside the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Optional Partner Sharing data is retained until either device revokes the connection or for 180 days after the last activity. Exported files may remain in the destination you selected until you delete them there.
In-App Purchases
Smart Calendar offers optional premium theme packs through Google Play Billing.
Payment processing is handled by Google Play. Smart Calendar does not receive or store your full payment card, bank account, or payment account details. The app may store purchase entitlement state locally so unlocked packs remain available.
Data Sharing
Smart Calendar does not sell your personal data.
Smart Calendar does not share your calendar, work, wellness, or note data with the developer or with third-party advertising or analytics services. When you enable Partner Sharing, Cloudflare processes encrypted service data as described above, and the partner device receives only the fields you approved.
Data Deletion
You can delete events, notes, work entries, manual wellness entries, and cycle-tracking records inside the app. You can revoke Partner Sharing from either connected device to delete its server-side state. You can also remove all local app data by clearing the app's storage from Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
Smart Calendar is not designed for children and is intended for general productivity use.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated if new features are added, such as broader cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, account login, or remote AI processing.
